Module 7: Goal Specific Comprehension Strategies Goal Specific Comprehension StrategiesThis module teaches particular strategies readers can use to enhance their processing of a variety of materials at different points in the reading process. Five types of strategies are covered: preview, self-questioning, visual imagery, paraphrasing, and summarization. Because this module deals with strategies, an important thread relates to the kind of instruction teachers must do to teach students how to independently use these techniques. |
